There's something totally surreal about being in a...
I feel that way every time I come to Canada, and it’s awesome and also totally shitty, reminding me how bigoted and otherwise screwed up (i.e. I can’t get married in Canada because I would lose my U.S. health insurance) my country is.

Being treated like a kid sucks
I am 22. I was born February 28th, 1988, meaning that I have been over 21 for nearly 18 months.
I got my driver’s license in Oklahoma at 17. I moved to New York at 18 and got a New York license. Consequently, my license says, in big red letters, UNDER 21. In some states, including, inexplicably, Oklahoma (which generally thinks that the Puritans were too liberal with their liquor laws),...
